SeahawkCentric: Seahawks over Jets

The injury report is back and the Seahawks have nothing to worry about.  The captain and spiritual leader Russell Wilson has assured us he will be ready to go against the Jets on Sunday and that’s enough for me. His presence on the field gives everyone more confidence the Hawks can pull out a victory.  The Trevonne Boykin experiment will have to wait for another time.

In addition, Jimmy Graham has been cleared to play.  The Hawks have worked him back into the line up slowly and now he’s ready to make a significant impact on the offense.  All 3rd down and red zone plays should involve him in some capacity.  Two touchdowns against the Jets is not unrealistic.

The defense is giving up less than 10 points a game (if you don’t count those garbage touchdowns against San Francisco last week) and the New York offense is suspect.  Ryan Fitzpatrick makes bad decisions and Eric Decker isn’t healthy enough to play.  I expect the Seahawks defense to create turnovers and give the offense great field position.

The Jets have a great defensive line and the Seahawks are traveling across the country so I won’t predict a blow out.  23-15 sounds about right.. I’ll chime in on Monday with all the juicy details of the victory, but until then let’s all keep a SeahawkCentric state of mind shall we?
